Gionee S6 Camera Samples

We tested out the device using various camera modes and lighting conditions. We’ve categorized the samples into various categories below that you can see.

Front Camera Samples

We tested the front camera of the phone in natural lighting condition and indoor lighting condition. In both the conditions, the pictures came out to be good almost always, full with detail and depth. Overall, using the front camera of the device was a good experience. Just one or two pictures out of the lot came out with some noisy grains in the images.

Rear Camera Samples

The rear camera of the device performs really well. Other than a few focussing issues in low light, the experience of using the camera was great. The pictures came out really well overall, in all the three lighting conditions mentioned below.

Artificial Light

In artificial lighting, we again used our Superman and the Yellow NYC Taxi as our objects, and they looked really good in artificial lighting. The pictures came out good with precise details.

Natural Light

The natural lighting shots with the Gionee S6 were really good. The shots look as if they they were taken from a dedicated camera itself, and not a smartphone camera.

Low Light

In low lighting conditions, the camera stuttered a bit in focusing on the objects, but other than that, the pictures came out pretty good. Though you can see some noise in the images, but that is expected with a f/2.0 aperture camera.

Gionee S6 Camera Verdict

Overall the camera of the Gionee S6 is something like what you’ll expect from Gionee. Gionee has been known to create phones with great cameras, and the S6 is not an exception in that regard. Personally, I’d rate the camera of the device to be really great because of the shots that we were able to take with the camera.
