Moto G VS Huawei Honor 3C Comparison Overview

The mid-range smartphone segment is witnessing new offerings almost everyday as there are a plethora of vendors coming up with such phones. Lately, Motorola’s Moto G has been highly successful in the market flooded with price conscious consumers. This success is all set to be taken by the Moto E, the newly announced entry-level smartphone.

On the other hand, another impressive smartphone has been launched in the mid-range segment on Wednesday and it is none other than the Huawei Honor 3C. This handset is also said to be a stiff competitor to the Moto G as it comes with almost similar specifications and falls in the same price bracket. Let us have a look into the comparison between these two models to know more about them.

moto g vs huawei honor 3c

Display and Processor

The Moto G is given a 4.5 inch display with HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a pixel density of 329 pixels per inch. The company claims that it is brightest display in this class and that there will not be any pixilation due to the high pixel density count. Further, the screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection that can prevent the screen from scratches and damage.

In comparison, the Honor 3C features a larger 5 inch display that packs HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels resulting in a lower pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. This screen is claimed to be good enough to deliver clear and crisp content. Hence, the Moto G with increased pixel density count and scratch resistant coating is a better one.

On the hardware front, the Moto G employs a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz based on Cortex A7 architecture. This processor is supplemented by Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM that take charge of the multi-tasking segment.

The Huawei Honor 3C on the other hand features a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor that is teamed up with a Mali-400 MP2 GPU and an enhanced 2 GB of RAM for better handling of multiple applications and tasks simultaneously.

Camera and Internal Storage

When it comes to the photography department, the Moto G features a 5 MP primary camera at its back with ‘tap to focus’, 4x digital zoom, burst mode, slow motion video, auto HDR and panorama features. Also, there is a 1.3 MP front-facer onboard that can aid in video chatting sessions.

But, the Huawei Honor 3C excels in this segment with a standard 8 MP sensor that is teamed up with excellent features such as FHD 1080p video recording, auto focus, LED flash, BSI sensor and a front-facing 5 MP secondary camera at the front that comes with selfie feature enabling users to capture attractive self portraits.

On the storage front, the Moto G comes with 8 GB and 16 GB of internal storage space that unfortunately cannot be expanded further as the handset is devoid a micro SD card slot. In comparison, the Huawei offering features 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded though the limit is not known. Presumably, the handset will support up to 32 GB of additional storage space to store all the necessary content.

Battery and Features

The battery on the Moto G is a 2,070 mAh one that can pump in a decent backup of up to 24 hours of talk time, which is really impressive. The Honor 3C features a 2,300 mAh battery whose backup is still not revealed, but it is believed to be reasonable though not as long as the one offered by its opponent.

The Moto G comes fueled with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system while the Huawei Honor 3C is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean platform. There are connectivity features such as 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS in both the phones besides dual SIM functionality for the convenience of the users.

When it comes to the build, the Moto G features a durable build that can be customized with a range of vibrant colored back covers that can translate the phone into a fashionable companion.
