Asus Zenfone 2 Laser Question Answer FAQ–Doubts Cleared

Asus is well renowned for flooding market with similar looking, but differently specced smartphones, thus providing worthy Zenfone options for consumers at all prices. Zenfone 2 Laser will be the first Zenfone model this year which will compete under 10,000 INR. Asus will launch both a 5 Inch and 5.5 Inch display variant for Zenfone 2 Laser. We have the 5.5 Inch HD display variant with us. Let’s take a closer look.

Question – Does Asus Zenfone Laser have Corning Gorilla Glass Protection?

Answer – Yes, Asus Zenfone Selfie will be the only affordable smartphone which flaunts Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

Question – How is the Display on Asus Zenfone 2 Laser?


Answer –  First time users won’t find Zenfone 2 Laser display to be inadequate on pixel count or sharpness, but display brightness is quite low. Touch responsiveness and viewing angles are good. Colors are more on the warmer side.

Question – How is the Design and Build Quality?

Answer –  The Asus Zenfone 2 Laser looks more or less similar to other Zenfone 2 variants. The matte finish plastic used on the rear side feels less premium when compared to Zenfone selfie, but is totally acceptable and understandable.

Question – What is the SAR Value?

Answer –  0.361 W/Kg@10g (Head) and 0.313 w/Kg@10g (Body)

Question – Are the capacitive navigation keys backlit?

Answer – No, like all other Zenfone 2 Models, the navigation buttons are not backlit, but have decent haptic feedback.

Question – Is there any heating issue in Asus Zenfone Selfie?

Answer –  We haven’t experienced any abnormal heating so far.

Question – What comes inside the Box?

Answer – 1.0 A Charger, documentation and USB cable are present in the box.

Question – What size SIM card is supported?

Answer –  Both SIM card slots accept Micro SIM cards.

Question – Does it have LED notification light?

Answer – Yes, LED notification light is present

Question – How much is Free Storage?

Answer – Out of 16 GB, 10.80 GB is available at user end.

Question – Does it support USB OTG?

Answer – Yes, USB OTG is supported.

Question – How much is free RAM on first boot?

Answer – Out of 2GB, a little less than 800 MB RAM is free on first boot.

Question – How is the Camera Quality?

Answer – The 13 MP rear camera and the 5 MP front camera are good shooters. The rear camera gives good day light performance, but shots look a bit overexposed in broad afternoon sun. For an under 10K price, camera performance is quite good.

Question – How is the performance?

Answer – Day to day performance has been smooth so far. We will update you with how well the phone holds with extensive high end gaming after our full review. On Antutu and Nenamarks 2, the handset scored 23698 and 54.4 respectively.

Question – How loud is Loudspeaker?

Answer – Loudspeaker loudness is good but not great. Sound quality from headphones is good.

Question – How is the battery backup?

Answer – The battery back is pretty solid on Zenfone 2 laser. The 3000 mAh battery can easily carry you through your day with fairly heavy usage.

Conclusion

How attractive this low end Zenfone Model is will depend on its price. From our initial time with the device, it looks like a decent proposition for basic users, though we would have liked a slightly better display.
