The brand new smartphone maker Nextbit has launched its first smartphone in India, most of us have heard the name, it is the Nextbit Robin. Like every first timer, this company has also tried to do something different to grab the eyeballs. It comes with a completely new approach which is its own software, temporary archive apps and other cloud features with 100 GB of cloud storage. No other phone does that till now, and that makes Nextbit an interesting phone.

Question- How is Design and Build Quality?


Answer- The Nextbit Robin is very light at just 150 grams, considering the 5.2 inch display and the 2680mAh battery. It is also thin measuring just 7mm. It looks premium and is quite minimalist. The phone is made out of a hard, matte plastic.

The Nextbit Robin’s speaker placement is quite different. It features a speaker where other companies usually place their home button. It comes with dual front-facing speaker and the second speaker is placed on the top beside the front camera. The power button is placed on the right edge which also acts as a fingerprint sensor.

It is capable of clicking decent pictures in day light but does seems to be quite ordinary if compared to other cameras in same price segment.

Conclusion

Nextbit Robin is perfect for countries where high-speed internet access and fair data usage policies apply. In India, it will take some tough convincing to adapt to this style of mobile computing as we still lack the proper infrastructure and using high-speed internet is expensive. At INR 19,999, Nextbit Robin is a great phone but the main idea of a Cloud-centric phone may not work in India with a lot of people.
