Unboxing and Quick Review [Video]

Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

Build quality wise karbonn s5 titanium feels quite premium as compared to the other devices in the same segment, design wise it looks much better than Canvas HD A116 and packs equal hardware config if not less. It feels a lot more slimmer and lighter which makes it easy to carry and the curved edges which are again glossy give it a nice premium look and but they are much more finger print catchy as well. The form factor of the phone is good due to light weight and thin build.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display of the device is IPS LCD qHD display which again is good enough with wide viewing angles but the text feels soft if you compare it with HD display phone but with naked eyes you wont feel the difference, the internal memory is 4 Gb out of which around 1.4 Gb is available to install apps and storing data like picture and videos but you also get a microSD memory expansion slot hot swap supported and once you add the memory card you cannot install apps on SD card but you can move apps to the SD card. The Battery backup we got during our review was around 1 day max with dual SIM but when we used single SIM it gave us more than one day backup and the usage includes browsing web, watching videos and using facebook and twitter.

Sound, Video and Navigation

Quality of sound from the loudspeaker was quite loud but it is not the loudest we have heard before and the sound through ear piece on voice calls was clear. The max resolution video you can record from this device is 720p but you do not have tap to focus while doing the video record but you have it while taking photos, although you can take screen shots or photos by tapping on the screen during video recording. This phone also supports GPS navigation through assisted GPS and make sure to enable GPS EPO assistance before you using this device for navigation on this device and compass sensor on the device works without any issues.
