Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

The build quality of this device is good as expected being a nokia device, it does feel easy to hold with non slippery matte finish back cover with rounded edges which makes it easy to hold in hand. The design is good feels like unibody as the back cover fits nicely over the phone body and back cover can be removed and changing the back cover can also change the color of the device but the battery cannot be removed. The form factor of the device is good enough being a 4.7 inch display device but the thickness of the device is 9.2 mm and weight of the device is 159 grams so its not too heavy or thicker phone.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display is IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution at 4.7 inches (~199 ppi pixel density) which does not make it inferior in anyway and viewing angles are also quite wide for this display. The in built memory is 8 GB out of which 5 Gb approx available to the user for apps, photos and videos etc and you also have the option of expanding the storage for photos and videos but you cannot not store or install apps on SD card and SD memory card can be upto 64Gb. The battery backup of the phone is around one day as we noticed during our review and some days it was more than 1 day as well.

Software

The software is windows phone 8 which is quite smooth in transitions and there some good free preinstalled apps like your movies which allows to not only watch movies but download them offline and watch them later and you also get other useful apps like Flipkart ebooks with some free ebooks and others apps like Bigflix etc.

Sound, Video and Navigation

The sound quality and reception from the ear piece is much better than any other budget android phone in this price segment and the loud speaker is quite good in terms of loudness if not too loud. It supports video playback HD videos at 720p and 1080p and it can also be used for GPS navigation and GPS locking is much quicker than most of the android phones which we have seen in this price range. It has Nokia here maps and Here drive apps for best user experience while using this device for navigation.

Camera Performance

The rear camera is 5MP capable of shooting HD videos at 720p and 1080p and it also has LED flash for low light photos and the front camera is VGA but you can do a good quality video chat as well. Check out with some camera samples below taken from the back camera to find the camera quality.

Lumia 625 Full In Depth Review + Unboxing [Video]

Conclusion and Price

Lumia 625 is a great phone but considering its price at which its available for around Rs. 16,000 approx which makes it value for money but the specs wise its slightly underpowered compared with some android competitors which may looks like great choice for many out there, but the real time day to day usage reveals that the underpowered hardware does not make much difference during day to day usage. However we were not able to find many good graphic games but some popular ones like asphalt 7 were there on the market place and its optimized to run on this device.
