Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

Zopo 980 feels solid and great in terms of build quality, the front glass display has OGS with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection. The chrome strip on the edges does give the device a good premium look. It has got tempered edges on the back cover which provide a better grip with matte finish back cover with little texture design which you may not notice until you hold the phone closer to your eyes. The form factor of the phone is good its quite sleek with thickness of at 8.5 mm and it is also not very heavy at 154 grams. It is a dual SIM phone with dual stand by mode, the touch capacitive buttons on the phone are fairly visible on the white version but not so visible on the black version, the led behind the touch buttons in the body is also very light in intensity.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display is IPS LCD with pretty good viewing angles and the resolution of the display is FHD with 1920 x 1080 gives you around 440 pixels per inch, you wont see the pixilation on this display in text or in photos. The display also has corning gorilla glass protection layer. You have most of the required sensors like compass and magnetic field, proximity and accelerometer etc sensors. The unit we tested had a 16Gb ROM out of which around 12 Gb was available to the user, you also have the option to install apps on SD card and you can also move apps from phone memory to SD card, but SD card does not come in the package.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is almost stock android, we did not notice any customizations, you will get the stock android experience on this phone which is much better than customized UI which is sluggish on most of the android phones these days. The GPU on the device is Power VR SGX 544MP which is quote capable playing almost all the casual and graphic intensive games

Camera Performance

The 13 MP camera at back performs quite good in day light and in low light its average. The front camera which is 5MP fixed focus is good for video chat if not the best, below are some photo samples.
