BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9982 Luxury Smartphone Announced

BlackBerry and Porche Design have announced their “carefully crafted” Porsche Design P’9982 Smartphone which will be available from November 21st onwards for an estimate price of $2,500. This luxury phone boasts of a satin finished frame forged from the finest quality stainless steel, complemented by a hand-wrapped genuine Italian leather back cover.

A second crocodile model with back door wrapped in Crocodile leather with availability restricted to 500 devices worldwide has also been announced. On the software front this phone will run on customized BB10.2 operating system. You can buy several back covers separately to enjoy refreshed look and feel.

On the inside this phone is powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual core processor backed by 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage capacity is 64 GB. The primary camera is of 8 MP and is capable of Full HD 1080p video recording at 30fps. A 2 MP front camera is also present for video calling. The battery employed will give you 9 Hours of talk time. The display size is 4.2 inch and the display resolution has not been specified.


The Porsche Design P’9982 smartphone from BlackBerry will be available from Porsche Design stores, select carriers and retailers around the world beginning on November 21 with the exclusive retail launch at Harrods, Knightsbridge, London. The limited Crocodile edition will be available beginning early December, and will be exclusive to the Porsche Design shop-in-shop at Harrods.
