6 Things We Expect In The Upcoming Coolpad Phone

Coolpad is looking forward to making a reentry in the budget segment in India. The last phone launched by the company was the Coolpad Note 5. We are expecting the company to launch another phone to strengthen its budget smartphone portfolio with another affordable smartphone. Here is what we expect from the upcoming Coolpad device.

6 Things We Expect In The Upcoming Coolpad Phone

Dual SIM 4G LTE

Keeping in mind the increasing 4G usage in India, most devices these days come with 4G LTE support. We expect the new Coolpad device to come with 4G support. Keeping in mind Reliance Jio’s popularity, it would also be nice to have VoLTE support.

Additionally, almost all the phones launched in India come with dual SIM support so we expect the upcoming Coolpad device to also feature dual SIM support.

5 inch HD display

Like most budget phones these days, the next Coolpad device may feature a 5 inch HD IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

13MP Camera

These days most companies are giving importance to camera. We have been seeing a lot of devices being launched with a 13 MP camera. We expect the next Coolpad device to feature a 13 MP primary camera.

MicroSD Card support

Most phones these days come with microSD card support. We are expecting the upcoming Coolpad device to also come with microSD card support. We don’t know if the company will go with a hybrid SIM slot or provide a microSD card slot.

Fingerprint sensor

Users have started preferring devices with a fingerprint sensor and most companies have started adding them to their devices. Coolpad’s upcoming device may also feature a fingerprint sensor. What we need to wait and see is whether the company places it on the front or on the back.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow

While we have started to see phones launch with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, most phones even today launch with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. While having Android 7.0 Nougat would be nice, we are most likely to see Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the upcoming Coolpad device.
