Gionee Dream D1 with 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Processor, 1 Gb RAM for Rs. 17000 INR

Gionee is a new Chinese company which has recently entered into the India market as its first smartphone was GPad G1. Gionee Dream D1 phone is way costlier than GPad G1 as it has got quad-core processor which guarantees that the lag will not cause much of the problem to the users and an interesting feature about the skin of Android used by Gionee in their phone is the OTA support which they call it as Over The Air Update for the new version of android. So, Gionee has promised the users to stay updated with the operating system on their phone.

Dream D1 is very thin with the thickness of 8.6 mm and has a good built quality. It is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad Core Processor which is decent. The screen size of Dream D1 is 4.65 inches with HD Super AMOLED display with 316 pixels per index which is comparable to the display of iPhone 5 and Lava Xolo X1000 Corning Gorilla Glass 2 on this phone display adds to the robustness of this phone. When compared with Galaxy Grand Duos, then you cannot have the combo of Gorilla Glass with AMOLED on them.

Now when talking about the camera, it has got primary camera of 8MP with the features like Auto-Focus, Panorama and HD video recording, a flash LED is also available besides it to support the image capturing in lightless scenario. The secondary camera on this phone is of 1 MP VGA mainly for video calling purpose and when compared with Galaxy Grand Duos then Galaxy Grand has 2MP which does not create much of a difference. The battery backup is 2100 mAh which can be usually seen in all the phone available in this price range. Now taking the storage capacity into account, Dream D1 has the internal storage of 4GB which can be further extended to 32GB and the phone will be accompanied by the 16GB Micro SD card with in the package.

Dream D1 also boasts about the sound quality as it has got in-built DTS (Digital Theatre System) with surround sound. Its connectivity includes 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro USB port and 3.5 mm jack for the headsets. This phone faces Galaxy Grand Duos which is a strong contender with some great features and some what bigger display screen size but has a lower resolution.
