Honor 6S In Making, Rumored To Run On Snapdragon 635

Honor, which is the smartphone making sub brand of the well known Chinese tech giant Huawei has been pretty aggressive in recent years. Recently they launched the Honor 6X in China back in October 2016 is rumored to be planning on their new smartphone called the Honor 6S. In a recent tweet from @krisptech, an image of the device was leaked and also revealed that the phone will be working on a Snapdragon 435 processor.

Some other leaks from AndroidSoul suggest that the Honor 6S will be priced around $120-130 and will be launched in January 2017. Putting light on the specifications, the phone will be coming with a 5.5 inch full HD display (1920 x 1080p), a 3300 mAh battery and a hybrid SIM slot with 4G VoLTE support. It will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and have a single rear camera unlike the Honor 6X.

The Honor 6X was launched back in October in China and features a similar display setup but the processor used is an octa-core Kirin 655 coupled with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It also has a dual camera setup, which reminds us of the Huawei P9 and the Honor 8.

There is no word about the Indian launch of either of the smartphones. Looking at the previous launches, we can expect both these handset to hit Indian shores in the first quarter of 2017.

Snapdragon 435 is the latest low-end chipset from Qualcomm, which is said to change the way budget smartphones perform. Let’s wait for some more renders and leaks about the phone and see what else we get on the rumored Honor 6S.
