Honor 8 Pro Full Specs Leaked Ahead Of Official Launch

Honor 8 is one of the best looking phones released in 2016. Now Huawei is preparing to launch the upgraded version of Honor 8 called Honor 8 Pro on 5th April. However, the specs sheet of the phone has been leaked ahead of the launch. Huawei Russia listed the phone along with the full specs on its official website.

Honor 8 Pro Leaked Specifications

As per the listing, Huawei ditched glass back for a metal body. Honor 8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch QHD IPS LCD panel with a pixel density of 515 PPI. It is a considerable upgrade over 5.2-inch Full HD panel found on Honor 8.

An octa-core Kirin 960 (4×2.4 GHz Cortex-A73 & 4×1.8 GHz Cortex-A53) along with Mali-G71 GPU powers this device. It the same processor used on Mate 9 and recently launched Huawei P10. It packs 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card upto 256GB. 4GB/64GB variant is also on the cards. It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1 on top.

In the camera department, it houses two 12MP sensors with a f/2.2 lens on the back, which is similar to the setup found on Honor 8. However, the camera on Honor 8 Pro can shoot 4K videos at 30fps. Unfortunately, OIS is still missing. On the front, it sports an 8MP f/2.2 system.

Sensors onboard include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. A non-removable 4000 mAh battery fuels this device. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, Infrared port, USB Type-C, etc.

The phone will be supposedly available in three colors: blue, gold, and black.

Huawei has updated the display, processor, memory, camera, and battery. However, we are disappointed by Huawei’s decision to replace flamboyant glass panel with a metal body even after receiving an overwhelming response for the glass back from the customers. Nevertheless, we are eagerly waiting for the Indian launch. Please stay tuned to our website to learn any developments on the phone.
