Domestic carrier Idea has launched another low-cost smartphone for the budget market in the country. The device, Idea Aurus 4, comes with a 1.3GHz dual core processor and a 4.5 inch screen. The device also has support for 3G networks among other features.
The device’s 4.5 inch screen gets a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (FWVGA) and is capable of producing 16 million colours. As you would’ve guessed, the dual core processor comes from MediaTek and is the MT6572 which operates at 1.3GHz along with a Mali 400 graphics processor. The phone packs 512MB of RAM with a standard 4GB on-board ROM, with the usual 32GB of maximum possible expansion via microSD.
The device will run Android v4.2 out of the box. On the imaging front, the Idea Aurus 4 packs a 5MP rear shooter paired with a VGA front for video calling purposes. Powered by an 1800mAh battery, the device features 3G, Dual SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth and light, G-Sensor and proximity sensors. According to Idea, the phone will go on for 4 hours on 3G and 7 hours on 2G networks on one full charge of the 1800mAh battery.
