The Optimus G Pro is a phablet, with the screen measuring 5.5 inches diagonally. The phone packs top of the line hardware, which includes 2GB of RAM, a 1.7 GHz quad core processor, among others. The Optimus G Pro will also be featuring a Full HD display, with the PPI coming out to be 401 pixels per inch, which sounds pretty decent. The Optimus G Pro is said to be a major competitor to Samsung’s Galaxy Note II, and was announced and launched in most major international markets earlier this year. LG had been quiet about an India launch, but finally, we have a release date of July 4.

The phone comes with a 1.7GHz quad core processor from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 600. To complement the powerful processor will be 2GB of RAM, also to make sure that the user does not experience any sort of lag while heavy multitasking. The phone will come in two variants, 16GB and 32GB, while both will have a microSD card slot which can take microSD cards up to 64GB. On the imaging front, the phone packs a 13MP rear camera like most other flagships, and a 2.1MP front camera for video calling.

Another plus of the phone will be the removable battery, as most manufacturers are shipping phones with non-removable batteries. The battery is rated at 3140mAh, and should prove to be quite a performer, based on the numbers. The phone is lighter than the Note II and measure 172grams in weight.

Please Note: The price factor will play a big part, and it remains to be seen if the phone will be priced lesser than Samsung’s Note II, which will give the Optimus G Pro an obvious upper hand.
