Leading indigenous smartphone maker Micromax appears to be all set to announce a low cost octa-core smartphone dubbed Micromax A290. If rumors are to be believed, the unannounced Micromax A290 smartphone will be a budget octa-core device with some standard specifications.
Well, the details regarding the same have been let out by the entrusted insider @MMXNewscaster. According to the tweet, the Micromax A290 will feature a 1.4 GHz octa-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM and run on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.
To meet the storage requirements, this handset is tipped to pack 8 GB of internal storage with expandable storage support via a micro SD card. The other aspects of the handset as revealed by the source include an 8 MP primary snapper that is teamed up with a 5 MP front-facer and a standard 2,010 mAh battery.
In addition to these specifications, the ongoing media reports suggest that the Micromax A290 smartphone will be a low-cost device priced in the sub Rs 12,000 price bracket. Also, like the other smartphones in this price range, this one will also include dual SIM card slots and common aspects such as 3G, Bluetooth, GPS and Wi-Fi.
