Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 with Hexa Core Chipset and Android KitKat at 13,500 INR

Micromax Canvas HD Plus A190 with Hexa core chipset that we talked about a few days back is now officially available on Infibeam for 13,500 INR. Micromax has tried to cash in on Canvas HD branding for its first Hexa Core device and this new successor of ultra successful Canvas HD comes with 2 extra CPU cores, more internal storage and the latest KitKat operating system.

The display size and resolution remains same with 720p HD resolution spread across a 5 inch IPS LCD Display panel. As against MT6589 Quad core, MT6591 Hexa core is quite capable of handling full HD resolution, but Micromax is sticking to 720p as of now. The display also gets Gorilla Glass protection but we are not sure yet if it’s Gorilla Glass 2 or 3.

1.5 GHz MT6591 Hexa core chipset is aided by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which can be further extended by another 32 GB. User available memory is 4.76 GB. Micromax will compete with the likes of Karbonn Titanium Hexa and Xolo Play 6x-1000

Micromax hasn’t provided a 13 MP shooter either. The phone comes with an 8 MP primary shooter which can record full HD 1080P videos. The front fixed focus camera on the other hand has a 2 MP sensor for basic video calling.

Battery capacity remains same at 2000 mAh with nothing special 7 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time. Other features include Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, GPRS, Dual SIM and WiFi. It is available in Black Gold and White Gold casings as of now.

Canvas HD was the most successful smartphone of its time because it features the best hardware possible at a competitive price, While Micromax A190 does bring several improvements and a Hexa core chipset, its not as revolutionary or impressive as its predecessor.
