Micromax Launches Canvas Smart LED Television Range

Micromax Informatics, Indian smartphone manufacturer has entered into the LED television sector with the launch of its first range of Smart LED television- Micromax Canvas Smart LED TV.

The Canvas Smart LED TV range will be available in three sizes,  32 inch, 40 inch and 50 inch. They will be sold exclusively by Flipkart. They have been priced at Rs. 19,999, Rs. 29,999 and Rs. 42,999 respectively.

The TVs will go on sale from August 14 2016. Pre-booking starts from August 10 2016. The company has said that it will use its existing 300+ service centers for servicing of its new range.

The 32 inch LED TV will come with a 720p display while the 40 inch and 50 inch TVs will come with a 1080p display. Micromax claims that its TVs are too smart to be called idiot boxes.

Micromax Canvas Smart LED TV

Micromax’s TV range will offer wireless smartphone control with an inbuilt Smart OS. The TVs will come pre-installed with Google Play Store. Apps like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Gmail among others can be accessed using the TVs. The TV works as a media sharing device with the option of sharing videos, music and images via Wifi and LAN.

  • Mira Cast: Users can cast their mobile screen on the TV to watchvideos from 3rd party apps like YouTube and Netflix.
  • M! Screen: Allows user to install Android applications to control the Canvas TV.
  • TV Mirror: Allows users to mirror the TV screen on their smartphone.
  • Game Control: Allows users to download Android games and control them using their smartphone’s G sensor.
