Exclusive: Micromax Launching Mi3 Clone with Snapdragon 800 Soon in India

Micromax was the first to challenge Moto E with its Unite 2 and according to our sources, the domestic manufacturer won’t take the advent of Xiaomi Mi3 leniently. We have already heard rumors of Micromax snapdragon 800 devices under works, and the device will arrive in India with an under 15K price tag soon!

We had expected dual core chipset in sub 10k segment to be replaced by Quad cores and Octa cores replacing Quad cores in mid range segment by this year’s end, but manufacturer’s competing to provide Snapdragon 800 for under 15k is pleasantly surprising.

According to earlier leaks, other specifications include 5 inch Full HD display, 13 Megapixel rear camera,2 GB RAM, 5 MP front camera, 2600 mAh battery and 16 GB internal storage with MicroSD support up to 64 GB.

Snapdragon 800 was available only in tier one flagship phones till half year back and is Qualcomm’s star 28 nm Process based chipset with 4 Krait 450 (based on Cortex A15) cores which can run on different clock frequency to conserve power. Snapdragon 800 at the heart of your device will ensure smooth performance, great GPS, Smooth graphics thanks to Adreno 330, Hexagon Digital signal processor and more.


Xiaomi follows a unique operation model and sell’s devices at cost. It’s revenue source is mainly the accessories and purchases users make on MIUI, and this makes it a formidable competition.
