After Galaxy S6 EdgePlus, Samsung has today launched the next generation Note 5 in India. Starting from 20th September, Note 5 32GB will be available for 53,900 INR and the 64GB variant will be available at 59,990 INR. The Note series has dominated the phablet segment since forever, but Samsung had to take some hard decisions this time around, and had to let go of a few age old traditions. Most loyalist’s weren’t very pleased, and others accepted and agreed that it was time to move on.
The New Note 5 doesn’t flaunt a fresh design, but is an extension of Galaxy S6, only bigger (and more slippery). The signature S-Pen design has also improved. It now opens with a click, has more metal, is tad bit heavier, has a button and is aided by fresh new software. You can also speedily take notes without unlocking the phone or waking up the display.
Talking of specs, The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a 5.7 Inch QHD Super AMOLED display, handled by octa core Exynos 7420 chipset, with 4GB RAM and 32GB non expandable, but faster UFS2.0 storage. Camera hardware is same as Galaxy S6, and that is a great thing.
The Note5 has a 16 megapixel sensor with f/1.9 aperture lens, optical image stabilization, auto real-time HDR, ability to live stream 1080p videos to YouTube and to record 4K videos. On the front, a 5 megapixel sensor is present for selfies.

Galaxy Note 5 is quite slim at 7.6 mm, but all that slenderness comes at a price. The Note 5 battery is smaller than last generation Note 4, at 3000mAh.
