When Sony’s latest high-end device Sony Xperia tablet Z was announced earlier this year, we were waiting eagerly to know the price of this device for the 3G operating version, and the wait for the price is finally over as we finally know the pricing of this tablet. The device has been priced at INR 44.990 in Indian. The device started rolling out globally this week and now it is available for pre–order on Flipkart.com and Infibeam.com for Indian user where as it will be available in the first week of June in the country.
The Xperia Tablet Z which is on sale in the country will be coming with 16GB of internal storage and 3G connectivity and there is no word yet from the company on the availability of this device with high internal storage. The tablet got a decent dimension of 172 x 266 x 6.9 mm which will weight 495gms which is quite good. The device got a big 10.1 inches TFT display with 1920×1200 pixels resolution and hence looks like the device will be a new competition to the Samsung Mega series now.
From the technical front the device will be powered with 1.5 GHz Qualcomm APQ8064+MDM9215M quad-core processor and this is really the attracting feature of the device. The processor will get the support of 2GB of RAM and Adreno 320 GPU for the processing and hence can ensure the smooth and efficient performance. As mentioned earlier the device will house 16GB internal storage with microSD card slot with which the user can expand the internal storage upto 64GB
The device will be running Android 4.1(Jelly Bean) which is bit old version as the Android 4.2 is now easily available but have to wait and see if we can get the upgrade support in the device. It will feature an 8.1 megapixels of rear camera to capture the precious moments of your life and 2.2MP front-facing camera for video chatting. As the previous member of this Xperia family, Sony Xperia Z mobile this xperia Z table will also come with IPX5/7 to protect you device from water and make it Water-resistant and IP5X to protect it from Dust. The device could run the NFC which is now a days becoming a very popular factor for user while purchasing there device and can also support the other connectivity including 3G, Wi-fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Glonass, GPS, HDMI via MHL support.
Currently we can say that this tablet might be the best possible Android tablet in the country available right now from the display and other technical specs, but we believe the pricing of the device is too much. If we compared the device with its Wi-fi version available in US we can see that the company is charging almost INR 17K incentive for 3G which is available for $499 in the US. We are hoping the company make any correction in the price tag as it become available in the market for the sale or after its pre-order finish and the device go for sell.
