Xiaomi’s Qicycle, Electric Foldable Bike Launched in China

Chinese electronics company, Xiaomi, has a wide portfolio ranging from smartphones and tablets to televisions, scooters, luggage, routers, drones and water and air purifiers among others. The company has now come up with a Foldable Electric Bike named Qicycle. The bike is developed by Taiwan-based QiCycle, a company backed by Xiaomi, and it is priced at 2,999 Yuan. As of now, it will be available only in China. Let us take a look at the Key Specifications of the Qicycle Electric Bike.

2Xiaomi’s Qicycle is powered by a 250W 36V high-speed motor with torque-sensing capabilities. The motor adjusts automatically by sensing how much effort you are putting into pedaling. It offers Shimano gear shift with three modes – easy, standard and fast for better speed adjustment. It can give a maximum speed of 20km/h which is good enough for an Electric Bike.

4Coming from Xiaomi, the bike has Bluetooth Connectivity Option, through which you can calculate the speed, mileage, distance covered, as well as fitness-related stats like the amount of calories burnt and all this is shown on a 1.8-inch (160 x 128 pixels) screen.  The Bike is backed by a 18650 mAh Panasonic battery which is built into the frame and lasts for 45 KM on a single charge.

3The Bike is easily portable due to its Foldable Design, except the main beam, all other parts of the bike are foldable. Moreover, it weighs just 13.5kg, because of its lightweight and foldable design it can be carried anywhere. As, mentioned earlier, the Bike is priced at 2,999 Yuan (Rs. 31,000 approx.) which is not at all cheap, but still it is a step forward towards cleaner fuels.
