The latest addition to the Entry level smartphone brigade is Xolo Q520s which sports a 4 Inch display. quad core SoC and Android 4.4 KitKat for 5,699 INR. The handset also carries a brushed metal finish on the curved rear surface which adds to its premium appeal.
The Xolo Q520s features a 4 Inch IPS LCD OGS display with usable WVGA 480 X 800 pixel resolution and is powered by budget quad core star – 1.3 GHz MT6582M chipset. Also on board is 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage, which sounds deficient in today’s market but won’t be an absolute deal breaker at this price.
For photography there is a 5 MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera for basic selfies. The rear camera allows you to record 1080p full HD videos.
Xolo Q520s measures 123 x 63.8 x 9.7 mm and houses an 1820 mAh battery inside, which can last for 6.8 hours of browsing time, 610 hours of 2G standby time and 19 hours of 2G talk time according to Xolo.
The handset is running Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. Other features include MicroSD card support, Dual SIM functionality, BT 4.0 3G, WiFi and GPS. Xolo Q520 will be available in Silver color for a price of 5,699 INR. It will compete with phones like Asus Zenfone 4, Redmi 1S and Android One phones, which offer better hardware in the same price range.
