5 reasons to buy OnePlus 3

Full HD AMOLED display

This time OnePlus has gone for AMOLED display instead of LCD IPS display. It has got a 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED display with 401ppi which looks very stunning and vibrant. The colors looks punchy and the contrast is just amazing as you can expect from an AMOLED panel. It has also got ambient display like the Nexus 6P, which lights up when you get a new notification, pick up your phone or wave your hand around earpiece.

Built and Design

This time OnePlus has gone for a full-metal unibody design instead of the sandstone or glass finish. It has got a premium and well finished metal body which looks great to hold in hand. It is just 7.3 mm thin and weighs 158 grams, which makes it very handy, slim and easy to use. The design is pretty clean all around. The loudspeaker, USB Type-C port and the headphone jack all lies at the bottom and hence there is literally nothing on the top part.OnePlus 3 (3)

6 GB Of RAM

OnePlus 3 has got a whopping 6GB of RAM. Already the 4GB of RAM in OnePlus 2 was more than sufficient but OnePlus decided to put additional 2GB of RAM which is just insane. It becomes the second phone to land with 6 GB RAM in India after Le Max 2.

Dash charging

It comes with an ultra fast charging technology called Dash Charging which can charge the OnePlus 3 upto 60% in just 30 minutes. OnePlus 3 comes with a 4 amp fast charger which is again insane. Now you can keep the phone in the pocket and forget the socket.IMG_9159

Better Camera

OnePlus 3 has upgraded the camera from the OnePlus 2, as now there is a more reliable 16-megapixel camera baked on the back with Optical Image Stabilization. It uses the Sony IMX 298 sensor with 1.12 um pixel size.  And now it uses PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) instead of Laser autofocus like in OnePlus 2. Moreover, the device still supports 4K and slow motion video recording. Low light images may not turn ouit be great but you can still manage with the quality it offers.OnePlus 3 (4)

Now when we are done with the positives, let’s take a look at why you should NOT go for the OnePlus 3.

3000 mAh Battery

This time OnePlus has gone with a lower capacity 3000mAh battery unlike the OnePlus 2. With a Full-HD AMOLED display and high end specs, 3000mAh battery feels kind of low. It somehow manages to juice the phone for a whole one day for a normal user but aggressive users may have to look for chargers by the end of the day. A little higher capacity battery would have been appreciated here.

No SD Card Support

64GB with no SD-Card slot isn’t a very big deal for most of the users. But for those who keep a lot of multimedia content on their phones or take lots of videos with the phone may be disappointed here. OnePlus 3 doesn’t comes with SD-Card slot so if you are someone who prefers keeping your sensitive data on your micro-SD card then you might have to skip this option and have to manage with the limited 64 GB.
