Celkon CT888 Quick Specs Review, Price and Comparison

Celkon, an Indian Mobile manufacturer, have recently launched its Android powered calling tablet Celkon CT888 in the country. The device is more likely a successor of its CT910 which was introduced few days ago. The CT888 comes with a high-resolution display and better processor when compared to CT910 calling tablet.

The Micromax Funbook can share many common feature with this device like 7 inch TFT capacitive touch screen ,4 GB internal storage,  512 MB RAM and a 1.2GHz Processor. Both Funbook Talk and Celkon CT888 house Android Ice-cream sandwich. Celkon also got the rear camera of 2MP where Micromax’s Funbook has only front camera for video chat. The Celkon’s battery is also powserful with 35oomAh battery power as compared to Micromax Funbook talk’s 2800 mAh battery. The price difference is also around Rs.700 where Celkon having price tag of 7,999 and Micromax Funbook of Rs.7250.

This phone, weighing 200g, will be packed in dimensions of 196MM x 116.4MM x 9.9MM . This android tablet CT888 packs a 7 inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. It comes with 3G voice calling via SIM card and is powered with 1.2 GHz processor.

It is featured with 2 MP rear camera and a front facing VGA camera for video calling and this tablet has 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal memory which can be expandable up to 32 GB via microSD. It also feature various connectivity option including 3G (via SIM card slot), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, micro USB and 3.5 mm jack for connectivity.

The technical specification looks good for the price tag and Priced at Rs 7,999 the tablet has been lined-up against brands like Lava (Etab Connect), Micromax (Funbook Talk), Karbonn (Ta Fone) and many more and can really give a good competition to this market holders. We would have been more happy if the device would have got a latest Android version but still the for this price it looks decent. The battery is also attracting with the 3g Support and a main camera.
