HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle Quick review, Benchmarks and Camera Overview

HTC launched its Desire 10 Lifestyle in September this year. The phone comes with a 5.5 inch HD display and it is available at Rs. 15,990 on Amazon India. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor with Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset. It has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory that is expandable up to 2 TB with a microSD card.  Let us now take a look at the quick review of the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle.

Design and Built

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle features a matte finish body with chamfered edges and metallic outline. The phone has a 5.5 inch display with Corning Gorilla glass protection and 69.1% screen-to-body ratio. The dimensions of the phone are 156.9 x 76.9 x 7.7 mm and it weighs around 155 grams. The phone is currently available in two colours i.e black and white. On the back it has 13 MP camera that is nicely placed on the corner, but unlike the HTC Desire 10 Pro it does not have a fingerprint sensor.

Display

HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle features a 5.5 inches IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels (HD) and a pixel density of 267 ppi. It comes with Adreno 305 as the graphics processing unit.

The display quality is decent and it comes with adaptive brightness feature, although the brightness is low in outdoor light. The viewing angles are good but not great.

Camera

It is equipped with a 13 MP primary camera with autofocus, BSI Sensor, f/2.2 aperture and 28mm focal length. It features HDR mode, Video Pic, Panorama mode and Continuous shooting. It supports 1080p video recording @30fps. On the front it has a 8 MP camera with f/2.8 aperture and 33.7mm focal length. It features Auto selfie (smile selfie, still selfie), Voice Selfie and Live make-up. It also supports Full HD 1080p video recording.

Looking at the camera performance, the image is processed at a quick speed but the image quality is just ok. It captures good details but lacks accuracy when it comes to color reproduction. Low light pictures are grainy.

Hardware and OS

Htc Desire 10 lifestyle is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad core processor with Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset. It has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory that is expandable up to 2 TB with a microSD card through a dedicated slot.

It comes with the latest Android OS, v6.0 (Marshmallow) with HTC sense UI on the top.

Conclusion

Being a phone from HTC, the overall quality that you get is something you can trust. But if you compare it with similarly priced phones, it is somewhere ok but not the best option in this price segment. Looking at the phones available offline, this is still a good deal if you care about after sales support and quality.
