HTC announced the Desire 626G+ mid range smartphone for the Indian market at a price point of Rs 16,900. It is an octa core mid ranger that is priced reasonably for its specifications. Today, we have come up with a quick review of the HTC Desire 626G+ smartphone to know its capabilities.

Camera and Internal Storage

The Desire 626G+ incorporates a 13 MP main snapper at its rear with autofocus, LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and Full HD 1080p video recording support. Up front, the device boasts of a 5 MP front facer with BSI sensor and f/2.8 aperture that is capable of recording Full HD 1080p video calls and click attractive self portrait shots. These imaging aspects are on par with the requirements of the mid range consumers and hence, they make the device a standard offering for its pricing.

The smartphone is packed with 8 GB of native storage space that is quite low to store all the contents. Anyways, it can be expanded by another 32 GB using a micro SD card and this should be sufficient for a device in this price bracket. However, the Desire 626G+ is not a deal breaker as there are several devices that include 16 GB of storage despite carrying an even lesser price tag.

The Desire 626G+ is draws its power from a 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752 processor that is teamed up with Mali-T760MP2 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM for decent graphic handling and multitasking. This is the same chipset which is used in Lenovo A7000 and Gionee Elife S7.


A 2,000 mAh battery powers the HTC offering and it is claimed to pump in up to 458 hours of talk time and up to 12.5 hours of standby time respectively on 3G networks.

Display and Features

Desire 626G+ sports a 5 inch HD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixel resolution. With a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch, this smartphone screen will definitely render decent quality content without any pixilation.

The HTC Desire 626G+ priced at Rs 16,900 is a decent mid range smartphone that is packed with impressive hardware aspects. The device makes use of capable hardware such as an average display that is sharp enough, capable processor, impressive photography features and a capacious battery. The only aspect that is a downside of this smartphone is its low 8 GB of storage space that will not be enough until a micro SD card is used.
