InFocus Bingo 50 Quick Review, Gaming and Benchmarks

InFocus announced it Bingo series few months back, and the company has now released its second smartphone called the Bingo 50. It looks a lot like the InFocus M350, but has a better hardware configuration. It is priced at INR 7,499 and will be available in two variants, Sandstone Gray and Leather Black. Other than great looks, the smartphone offers performance-driven features and a 3 GB RAM for seamless multitasking and gaming.

InFocus Bingo 50 is a worthy competitor in its price range, as it has some really compelling attributes to make it value for money. Let’s have a quick look at the phone and find out more about the details.

Bingo 50 Physical Overview

The phone follows a sleek and handy design language. The phone comes in two variants- Leather back and sandstone back, and we have the sandstone version. Bingo 50 has broad bezels at the top and bottom but sides are pretty narrow. It has a curved back which rests perfectly in palm and the sandstone finish gives it a great grip. The back cover is however made of plastic but the sides are made up of polycarbonate and have fine curves.

On the front, you will find the 8 MP front camera with LED notification light, speaker grill, and light sensor on top. There is nothing at the bottom except the InFocus branding.

On the back, you will find the 8 MP camera with a chrome border in the middle coupled with a LED flash.

Moving downwards, you will find the loudspeaker grill.

Volume rocker is placed on the left side, and the lock/power key is on the right side of the phone.

The 3.5 mm audio jack is at the top edge, and the micro USB port is at the bottom.

Bingo 50 User Interface

Bingo 50 comes with the latest version of Android Marshmallow out of the box, but you will find InFocus’s Inlife UI on top of it. The InLife UI is not one of the best we have seen but still feels smooth and does not affect the performance of this device. It has some custom animations, offers themes to choose from, and tweaked icons. It also supports motion gestures and off-screen gestures, but I felt the UI looks unfurnished in some areas, which can be improved.

InFocus Bingo 50 comes with an 8 MP camera with single LED flash on the rear. We tried clicking few pictures in day light, and the results were impressive. The outdoor shots showed natural colours, autofocus was quick but and we could see good details and bright colours. But the camera loses its quality as soon as you move to dim lights, but it is pretty common with most of the smartphones these days.

The front camera is also a decent performer, we clicked 2 pictures indoors and the pictures came out to be satisfactory. It is a good front camera looking at the price and overall offering on this phone.

Gaming Performance

The game-play on this device is surprisingly smooth. We installed Asphalt 8 and Dead Trigger 2 on this smartphone and except for a few frame drops there was nothing we can complain about. Overall the gaming experience was good on this device taking into account the fact that the Bingo 50 comes at a price of just INR 7,499. There are a very few smartphone which offer such seamless performance in such low price.

This phone did heat up at a point, but it was expected after playing Asphalt 8 continuously for more than 40 minutes but the heat was not unbearable at any moment.

Conclusion

At 7,499 InFocus Bingo 50 is a good deal overall. It does not have a lot to complain about, but we would have loved if it had fingerprint sensor with these specs. The hardware is solid, it looks and feels good, has a good front camera and also the display is something really impressive. Some places where this phone lacks is the absence of fingerprint sensor, and the non removable battery with just 2500 mAh capacity.
