Lava Iris Pro 20 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

Lava is making great news these days with its new range of devices. Back in January, the company announced the launch of Iris Pro 30 – its flagship smartphone followed by a few other handsets. Now, after making headlines for the launch of the dual SIM tablet QPAD e704, the company has come up with another smartphone dubbed Iris Pro 20 priced at Rs 13,999. The handset boasts a premium design as it is designed with adherence to the ‘Art meets Smart’ theme. Here is a quick review of this smartphone for those interested in knowing its capabilities.

Camera and Internal Storage

The Iris Pro 20 features an 8 MP camera at the rear with auto focus and LED flash along with Zero Shutter Lag (ZSL) that provides modes such as Panorama and HDR. Also, there is a VGA front-facer on the smartphone to facilitate video calling.

For storage, the Iris Pro 20 packs 4 GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded externally up to 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. Also, taking charge of the multi-tasking section is 1 GB of RAM that should deliver decent performance.

Lava Iris Pro 20 incorporates a fast quad-core processor running at 1.2 GHz speed under its hood. This processor when combined with the 1 GB of RAM will definitely provide good levels of multi-tasking.


Under the hood is a 2,000 mAh battery that is claimed to be long lasting equipped with the CABC (Content Adaptive Backlight Control) power saving technology for optimized power consumption. This technology will enable the battery last for 30% more than the ordinary smartphone batteries. Also, the technology will brighten the backlight as per the image that is displayed to ensure reduced power consumption.

The dual SIM smartphone comes with a 4.7 inch IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) technology. It boasts a resolution of 960×540 pixels delivering amazing viewing experience. Also, the display is scratch resistant with the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

 Price and Conclusion

Lava has done a good work with the Iris Pro 20 by packing decent specifications in an attractive package priced at Rs 13,999. But, these days even the domestic vendors have started employing highly capable specifications for their offerings despite pricing them low in order to gain from the booming industry. Hence, it would have been great if Lava had incorporated a HD display and an enhanced front-facer in its offering. Still, the Iris Pro 20 is a decent smartphone for those who like to own a performing handset at budget price points.
