Sony Xperia L with 1 Ghz Dual Core, 8MP Camera, 4.3 Inch Screen Below Rs 21,000 INR

After two high-end phones at MWC finally Sony has stepped down towards the market of average spec Android phones and they have released Xperia L, they have not focused on all the aspects of this phone but camera is good or I should say that they have released this phone like a perfect point and shoot phone. They have not focused much on the longer battery life or the display with better resolution rather the hardware spec features which is prioritized like the power of processor, GPU and RAM.

Sony Xperia L Specifications and Key Features

Now taking on the screen size then it is 4.3 inches something which we have already seen in Xperia S which was also launched around 26k and it has the resolution of 480 x 854 pixels with capacitive touch. The processor used here is Qualcomm Krait Dual Core 1GHz which has been supported by 1GB RAM (which is not that great but decent), so it can be seen that it can give a good fight to Galaxy Grand as they are similar on the power.

The primary camera used by Xperia L is of 8MP which has auto-focus, auto face detection and has the feature of HD video recording with 720p at 30fps. The primary camera is also supports flash light whereas secondary camera is VGA. The internal memory storage of the phone is 8GB which can be extended up to 32 GB with the help of external micro SD card. It operates on the latest Android which is 4.1 Jellybean and has the graphical Processing Unit for better graphics while playing games is Adreno 305. Other than all of these the connectivity features are common which includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, 3G, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and Micro SD card slot.

The battery back up of Xperia L is decent but not that good, as Xperia S has the same battery backup and I have been facing lots of problem with such a low battery backup you will have to be very specific about the features that you keep on ON on your phone like do not put the phone on auto-sync or use backlight. Use features only when they are necessary else it wont even last for 7 hours (when you are checking your phone regularly over internet). There is not intimation about the date of availability of this phone in India and its price.

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy Grand will be its competitor in the market as when it comes to the camera and the power of the phone, then both phones land on the same level and when it comes to the Battery backup and screen of the phones then Samsung Galaxy Grand performs better with 2100 mAh over 1700mAh and 5 inches over 4.3 inches of screen with the same resolution. So it is important for Xperia L to get their pricing below 21k INR else it will be a problem for Xperia L.
