Nokia 3310 (2017), the modern version of the legendary Nokia phone, now comes in a new 3G variant. The model launched earlier this year, could access mobile data at 2G speeds only. The new HMD Global phone has been announced only in the Australian market as of now. The Nokia 3310 3G costs AUD 89.95 (roughly Rs. 4,600) in Australia.
HMD Global unveiled the classic Nokia 3310 at MWC 2017 back in February this year. The new 3G variant now comes with the similar specifications but with upgradations in connectivity and customization in UI. Notably, it becomes much more useful with 3G Internet connectivity.
Nokia 3310 Specifications
If we talk about the specifications, the Nokia 3310 3G sports a 2.4 inch QVGA (240×320 pixels) color display. It runs on Nokia series 30+ OS powered by Java. Also, the new Nokia 3310 3G comes with new customisation options for rearranging icons and choosing color themes with an all-new retro UI.
The new Nokia 3310 comes with 16MB storage and supports expandable storage via microSD card up to 32GB. It comes in both single SIM and dual SIM versions. For imaging, it sports a 2MP rear camera with LED flash.
The new Nokia 3310 features a massive 1200mAh battery. It promises to offer a standby time of up to a month, which is a highlight of the device. The device also includes the regular microUSB port ditching the pin charger. It also features a 3.5 mm audio jack and Bluetooth 3.0 for more connectivity options. The phone also features its classic Snake game optimised for the new color screen.
Pricing and Availability
The new Nokia 3310 3G costs AUD 89.95 (roughly Rs. 4,600) in Australia, while its global price will be EUR 69 (about Rs. 5,320). Just like its original modern variant, the Nokia 3310 3G will be available in Azure, Charcoal, Warm Red, and Yellow colors.
The handset will go sale in Australia starting October 16 and will be available via Optus and Vodafone mobile carriers. The new Nokia 3310 3G handset is likely to be made available in more markets soon.
