Xiaomi has sold over 1 million devices in just 48 hours

After touching the 25 million phones mark in India, Xiaomi has been quick to add one more million more during online sales. Xiaomi has sold more than one million smartphones in just two days of sale on leading e-commerce platforms, Amazon and Flipkart.

The Amazon Great Indian Festival sale and the Flipkart Big Billion Days sale have both registered a sharp increase in Xiaomi smartphone sales. The company also made sure that the best-selling Xiaomi Redmi 4 and the Redmi Note 4 remain in stock during the sale.

Improvement over last year

Xiaomi took to Twitter to express their excitement over the achievement. The tweet says that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is number 1 seller at Flipkart Big Billion Days sale while 8 out of 9 top-selling smartphones on Amazon sale are Redmi. Considering these numbers, Xiaomi has sold about 300 smartphones every minute in the last 48 hours. Last year, Xiaomi took 18 days to cross the 1 million units mark. Xiaomi recently marked the sale of 25 million units in India.

“Our careful planning has also ensured that high selling smartphones such as Redmi 4 and Redmi Note 4 are in stock throughout the festive sale. We are extremely thankful to all our Mi Fans for their amazing support, and will continue to work hard to constantly outdo ourselves as we have done on many occasions in the past.”
