Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro Unboxing, Quick Review, Gaming and Benchmarks

Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro was launched by the company last month at an affordable price of Rs. 7,499. Aiming at the entry level segment, the Canvas Unite 4 Pro expands Micromax’s portfolio of Android devices. It comes with a 5 inch HD display and a quad core processor with 2 GB RAM. These specs are unheard of in this segment, so it looks like Micromax is taking its competition head on.

Gaming Performance

Gaming is something that requires something extra from smartphones to make sure that the performance is not compromised. I installed Dead Trigger 2 on the Canvas Unite 4 Pro and like any other budget phone with a decent configuration, it handled this game with an ease. But as I proceeded further, I noticed few framedrops in the game play. To test it more, I played Modern Combat 5 on this phone, and that was the time when I was clear that heavy gamers should not consider this phone.

Heating was normal for a specific time but it got increased after few minutes.

Conclusion

The Micromax Canvas Unite 4 Pro is a very good value for money device at Rs. 7,499. It looks and feels good. The display is of good enough quality at this price, and other specs are quite above average too. The one area of concern is the processor – Spreadtrum is being used in some entry level phones these days, but its performance remains relatively unknown. Addition of a fingerprint sensor at this price comes as a surprise, adding to the pros of the device. Overall, I think Micromax has a good option in this range.
