Philips Launches In-Car Air Purifier in India Priced at INR 7,999

With more and more people buying air purifiers to clean the air in their houses, Philips has gone a step ahead and launched an air purifier for your car. They are calling this new air purifier the GoPure Compact 110 and have priced it at INR 7,999.

GoPure Compact 110

The car purifier has been launched by Philips’ automotive division called the Lumileds India. The event took place today and the MD of the Lumileds division, Rajiv Khosla launched the product. While launching the product, he stated “GoPure Compact 110, designed especially for the Indian market, will help users eliminate in-car air pollution. Currently, we are launching this device as an after-market product to be sold through the online channel”.

He also mentioned that as the market evolves, they will look for other retail channels to sell their product, and will even launch other products in a similar category. It all depends on the response that their GoPure Compact 110 receives from the public and media.

The sad part to hear from the launch was that the product will be imported into India, and will not be made in India. The product will be manufactured in the company’s manufacturing plants in China, and then will be imported into India.

Also, Rajiv Khosla did not talk anything about the revenue model of the product, and he simply stated “it is too early to put a number to sales”, and this could be because of a unique product in India has been launched, and a response from the audience can not be anticipated.

Based on what all we know, we at GadgetsToUse are really excited to hear about such a tech accessory for the car. We will try to cover the product when it is available to us, so be sure to subscribe to our blog to know as soon as we get our hands on the product.
