Asus ZenWatch Teased in Official Video, Will be Priced under 13,000 INR

After LG, Samsung and Motorola, Taiwanese vendor Asus is also gearing up to enter the Android Wear smartwatch arena with the launch of its first such device dubbed ZenWatch at the IFA 2014 next week in Berlin. Confirming the same, Asus has taken to the social media teasing its upcoming wearable device.

The firm’s official Twitter and Facebook pages have come up with teasers of the Asus smartwatch. Following the same, the vendor posted a video teaser of the wearable device that tips us about the style of the device. The ZenWatch appears to have a square dace with rounded edges, brushed metal or faux metal body and a leather band. It is highly anticipated by the smartwatch enthusiasts as it is at this time the Motorola 360 with a rounded design will be launched and to know how different the ZenWatch will be as compared to its rivals from the other firms.

In the meantime, at a press meet in Taiwan, the Asus CEO Jerry Shen revealed that the ZenWatch based on Android Wear will arrive with voice-recognition in English with support for Chinese in the pipeline, claims a report by FocusTaiwan. Also, it was tipped that it will be retailing starting from October that is the same time frame we expect the LG G Watch R and Samsung Gear S to enter sale.

Furthermore, the Asus executive did reveal the possible pricing of the smartwatch. It is claimed that the Android Wear based ZenWatch will be priced at $199 that appears to be reasonable.
