HTC has recently unveiled HTC Desire Q and HTC Desire P and the Taiwanese smartphone maker, on Friday continued to expand its mid-range, and the Desire smartphone series with the launch of new Desire L. It is the third Desire device to be launched within a span of three weeks as the HTC has launched the Desire L ,a new Android smartphone, on Friday, along with the Far EasTone Telecommunications Co., the third-largest telecom operator in Taiwan, being its sole provider.
This device could be a try from Taiwanese smartphone maker to compete the most likely rival Samsung Co.. As the Samsung Galaxy Grand has already created a great impact on the market with 4,3 inch screen and share few feature same as Desire L including the Android jelly bean and 5 MP camera, the competition between this device will be interesting. The price at which the company will offer the device could be proved as the deciding factor for the user to select between Grand and Desire L. The Lumia 720 could also face a good competition from this device.
With the body dimension of 128 x 66.9 x 8.9mm, HTC Desire L features a display with 4.3-inch WVGA Super LCD2 capacitive touchscreen having 480×800 pixels resolution, in addition to sporting Beats audio processing. The smartphone weighs in at 118 grams and is powered by 1GHz dual-core processor along with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 4GB of internal storage, which can be expanded through a microSD card. The operating system of the device is undisclosed but sure a Android Jelly Bean (we suspect 4.1.2) with Sense UI coating and features Beats Audio enhancements.
HTC has failed to equip the Desire L with its new Ultrapixel camera technology which is expected to be introduced in HTC M4 , but have instead opted for a 5MP rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture, LED flash and the ability to record HD 720p video. HTC Desire L comes with the power of 1800mAh battery to keep it going. Other specifications include integrated Beats Audio technology, 4GB of internal storage expandable via microSD card, a 1,800mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and HSDPA and WiFi connectivity.
Another windows phone 8 launched today which is going to be a budget windows phone 8 is Lumia 520 which has 4 inch IPS LCD WVGA display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and you can use this display with glove on, it has 1450 mAh battery with a 5MP camera which can record HD videos at 720p, 1 Ghz processor, 512 MB of RAM, it can support microSD card upto 64 GB to expand the storage. Apart from all this it come with 7 Gb of free skydrive online storage.

Conclusion:
The HTC device does not retain any high-end feature but succeeded to get the decent specification being an entry-level phone. The HTC Desire L will be available in three colours – white, black and pink. The white and black colors are the standard but the pink color clearly indicates that the manufacturer are trying to attract the female market toward the device.
Moreover, there is also no information available on whether this OS will be upgradable or not and no word on whether this Smartphone will be available in other markets apart from Taiwan and what will be the tentative cost of it though The phone, is being sold for NT$10,900 (US$ 366) in the hometown of the Company, Taiwan.
