As the title of the phone suggests, the Croma Smartphone 4.63-inch, also known as the CRCB2093, comes with a 4.63 inch touch screen with an FWVGA resolution of  854×480 pixels and is powered by a 1GHz dual core processor – the MT6577 – from Mediatek. As we have seen with other Mediatek based phones, this phone will also offer Dual-SIM usage, with 3G on on of the SIMs. The phone will sport an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera for video calling, and comes with other most common connectivity features as Bluetooth, GPRS, USB, WiFi. As far as the Croma Smartphone 5.3-inch is concerned, it sports the same 1GHz dual core processor as the Smartphone 4.63-inch, however it comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean as compared to ICS on the Smartphone 4.63-inch. The phone has a 5.3 inch full touch display, and an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera for video calling needs. This phone also supports Dual-SIM.

Quoting Mr. Ajit Joshi, MD & CEO, Infiniti Retail, “While we laud our partners for their outstanding products that take the communications category to the next level, we also take great pride in announcing the launch of our very own range of Croma Smartphones, which are innovative not only in terms of the experience that they provide but also in terms of the value proposition,”

Well, we must say that no doubt, the phones look good with the specifications, but we certainly do not think that they are the best when it comes to value proposition. For a little more money, you can get a quad core from a well established company like Lava Xolo or Karbonn’s Titanium series – we think that Croma have been overoptimistic and have not priced the phones well, maybe all they were looking for was to increase their visibility in the market. For example, you can buy the Karbonn S2 Titanium with quad core processor just for 10,790 INR whereas the Smartphone 5.3-inch with dual core costs 200 INR more. The Croma Smartphone 4.63-inch can be bought at Croma retail stores and on their online store Cromaretail.com for 8,990 INR. The Croma Smartphone 5.3-inch should be available in a few days as well.
