Xolo seem to have a busy month – earlier this week we saw two devices from Xolo being leaked, the T1000 with the nVidia Tegra 3 chipset, and the Q2000 phablet with a quad core processor. Now, there has been an addition to that list – the Xolo X910. According to our source, the Xolo Z910 will be a successor to the world’s first Intel powered phone – the Xolo X900.
Being from the X series, the Xolo X910 will also be powered by an Intel processor, but will be a knocked down and cheaper version of the X900. Although the specifications of this device are not out yet, our source states that the device will have a 4.3 inch touch screen with a qHD display resolution of 960×540 pixels, and would be powered by a 1.6 GHz Intel processor, a 5 megapixel camera and a battery rated at 2,000mAh. These specifications pretty much say that the X910 will be a cheaper successor to the X900.
Here is the Xolo roadmap showing releases and launches slated by Xolo for this quarter-year, along with tentative prices.
There is no official word from Xolo on this yet, but we expect the device to have Android 4.1/4.2 out of the box, 512MB of RAM, and other standard connectivity features. This would make the competition extremely tough, not only for manufacturers, but also buyers. Expect to have a hard time deciding which phone to go for, with innumerable options in the 10-15,000 INR range.
This might be good news for anyone looking to buy a phone which is not a run-of-the-mill product, since there are hundreds if devices under various brand names in the budget category based on the Mediatek MT6577 and the quad core MT6589. The Xolo X900 managed to impress many with the performance of the single-core Intel Atom processor with HyperThreading technology, and Xolo will hope to do the same with the upcoming X910, and this might even do better than the X900 due to the extremely competitive price tag.
