Lava E-Tab Xtron+ Quick review, Comparison and Price

Lava International Limited, the Indian Mobile manufacturer, had launched a new tablet dubbed as E-Tab Xtron+ . The device is the successor of E-Tab Xtron tablet, launched earlier this year by the company and it is the company’s first tablet to run on the latest Android version Jelly Bean 4.2.2.

Instead of rolling out a new device, the company has chosen to cash on the popularity of its Etab Xtron by launching the latest and improved features on another variant of the tablet and hence this device seems to have few identical specs with its predecessor E-Tab Xtron and the only difference that can be observed between the two devices is in the version of the operating system and the Battery power. The Xtron+ got the latest Android version Android 4.2.2 and an improved battery of 3700mAh.

The Micromax Funbook P360 launched in Feb was a good competition to E-tab Xtron but with the launch of this upgraded version of E-tab Xtron+, the micromax Funbook could see a difficult time in the market.

Camera and Internal Storage

This tablet features dual cameras and comes with Front camera of 0.3 MP for video chatting and Rear camera of 2.0 MP. This latest device also offers video output for Full 1080p HD with HDMI v1.4 to let users enjoy the tablet experience on a bigger screen. Overall it looks good and it is same as compared to Micromax Funbook P360.

The device is featured with 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded by up to 32GB via a microSD card, providing users with enough space to store their multimedia content. In case of Micromax Funbook the provided internal memory was too less as it is only 2GB but it is also expandable upto 32GB.

Processor and battery

The device has got the same processor as that of E-tab Xtron and is powered by a fast 1.5 GHz dual core processor with Cortex A9 architecture and Mail 400 GPU. So you can expect the good performance experience from this device when compared to Micromax Funbook which have only 1 GHz Single core processor with Cortex-A8 architecture.

The battery of this device is very attractive as it is improved from 3000mAh provided in E-tab Xtron to powerful 3700mAh battery. The Micromax Funbook P362 also gets a weak battery of 3000mAh battery as compared to E-tab Xtron+.

Display Size and Type

XTRON+ boasts of a thin and compact design with full aluminum shell giving it an elegant feel and superior strength and the display of the device also looks decent. It comes with 7-inch capacitive multi-touch IPS display and has a resolution of 1024X600 pixels. The Micromax Funbook also have 7 inches of capacitive touchscreen but the resolution is poor in case of Micromax as it has 480 x 800 pixels display resolution.
