Samsung Galaxy Core I8262 Quick Review, Price and Comparison

Samsung Galaxy Core I8262 is an another dual SIM variant launched by Samsung. This is a new member to the company’s flagship galaxy series and it is a mid range model intended for affordable smartphone lovers. The company has recently launched one of the most innovative Smartphone in the market dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S4 and now by officially announcing the Galaxy Core the company has tried to impress its dedicated customers in the mid range segment.

The Price of the device is not yet been official but the device is listed on with the Coming Soon status and price: Not Available but the specs of the device are clearly mentioned on Flipkart.  From the specs the device reflects to be a mid range device. Lets have a look at the detailed specs.


Camera and Internal Storage

The device will be coming with a rear 5MP camera which is capable of capturing 8 Continuous Shots and is featured with Auto Focus and Panorama capabilities. The device also have Share Shot, Smile Shot, Cartoon mode featured. The camera is partnered with LED flash to provide you the sufficient light and is able to capture the video with 800 x 480 Pixel at 30 fps. On the front side, the device will have the secondary camera of 0.3MP. This is a VGA camera and can manageable as this is mostly used only for video chatting.

From the storage segment, the device will be having 8 GB of pre-provided ROM and this internal memory can be expanded up to 32GB using the MicroSD memory card, depending upon the needs of the user. But the 8GB of internal memory is something really impressive specially with the mid range device and hence we will look forward to see the price of the device and also how much of this memory will be free for user.

Processor and Battery

The device is powered with 1.2 GHz Dual core processor but there is no word on the Chipset used with the processor. So it will hard to comment on the performance as of now. But as per the specs mentioned on flipkart, the device will be running on Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) and will have TouchWiz user interface. This Dual SIM device will be having an operating frequency of GSM – 850, 900, 1800, 1900 and UMTS – 2100.

The device will have the 1800 mAh battery. The battery sounds decent but still as we are not clear on the processor it will be hard to comment on the life provided by this battery power. For the display size of 4.3 inches the battery may run short and it will be suggested to carry the battery charger when you re moving for a day out.

Display Size and Type

The device will sports a TFT LCD display of 4.3 inches and will have a WVGA resolution of 480 x 800 Pixels. This display is not so attractive but if we get the appropriate price range for this device then this could be adjusted.

In the other features of the device, this dual SIM device will be coming with Dual active (Smart Dual Active), which makes this smartphone unique and can support GSM + GSM on the SIM card slot. It comes preloaded with features like media players, FM radio, games and entertainment apps etc. The handset also comes with connectivity features like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and 2Gnetworks etc.

As there are lots of dual SIM devices available in the market, the launch of one more Dual SIM device from international brand like Samsung will keep the competition live. The device got some decent specs and the Smart Dual Active mode will be something that could proved to be an attracting factor for the device. This handset runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS where the Android 4.2 is available in the market and hence this could upset the buyers.
