Celkon an Indian Mobile manufacturer had come up with new Smartphone which is named as the A118. Celkon is trying aggressively to increase its market share and is constantly announcing the Smartphone’s. Few days back, the company had announced A8+ another entry level budget phone and now the company announced one more budget device Celkon A118. Celkon A118 is been beautifully designed and has good looks.

Celkon A118 comes with the 8MP of primary camera with the features such as the Auto Focus, LED flash and on the front side it got the secondary Front facing camera of about 3.0MP which will allow to user to do the Video calling which is a better option and is expected by the majority of the customers. The picture quality is better than the other Smartphone’s in this range and also the option of LED flash allows us to capture the greater images at the low light.

The A118 like most of the phones in this category, come with the 4GB of internal storage that can be extended upto 32GB via the Micro SD slot. The 4GB of internal storage seems to be good and also the customers can increase the storage capacity according to their requirement.

Processor and Battery

This Smartphone is powered by the 1.2 GHz Quad Core Mediatek MTK 6589 processor which is being included in most of the Smartphone’s in this segment. The processing speed and the performance of this processor is nice and allows most of the operations to run smoothly on the device and does not gives any lag while running the bigger applications. Also the A118 comes with the 1GB of RAM which is the must have feature for the 5.0 inch screened devices as it allows to run number of features simultaneously.

And can provide user with the more than 18 hours of backup. Though if the user is a fond of the web surfing and gaming then the battery backup should be somewhat low.

The Celkon A118 has many competitors in the market like the , like Karbonn S2 Titanium, Karbonn Titanium S5, Xolo Q700 and also the Lumia series. Though the price tag with which the A118 is offered is really able to challenge most of the Smartphone. Though the phone seems to be somewhat slow with the High resolution games, but it is expected to overcome with it. Also the A118 competes with the device which comes from the same company that is the Celkon A119Q which is also a better device from the company.

Celkon A118 is good option for the customers who have the limited budget and want to have the device with most of the features that are present in the high end devices. It has good processor and the RAM capacity also seems to be okay. Also the LED flash and Auto focus features makes it a good buy for the customers. Though some of the features are short as compared to the flagship products of the different companies, but at the price tag of Rs.12,500 this phone seems to be a pick for most of the users.
