Earlier this year we had covered the announcement of Nokia 301, 2.4 Inch Nokia Dual SIM in India. This phone has now been launched in Indian market priced at Rs.5149 and will be competing with other budget phones like Nokia Asha 310 and Nokia 206 Dual SIM. Let’s take a look at the specs of this phone.
This phone comes with a 2.4 inch display and a moderate resolution of 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA TFT color display).This is a standard resolution most budgets phones offer and gives you a pixel density of 166 PPI on a 4:3 aspect ratio screen and a cplor depth of 262k which is again average.
Most conspicuous feature of this device is its 3.2 MP fixed focus rear camera with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels and 3x zoom. it has a unique panorama ,sequential shot feature which allows you to take shots at 3 to 5 frames per second. Although flash is not available which can lead to obstruction in quality of pictures during poor lighting conditions, it has a self timer for taking pictures. It has a handy self-portrait feature which helps you position image target with help of voice prompts.
Nokia 301 comes with an internal memory of 256 MB extendable up to 32 GB using microSD card. RAM capacity is 64 MB which is quite humble. Battery capacity is rated at 1200 mAh, which Nokia claims will provide you with a 3G talk time of up to 6 hrs and 2G talk time of 20 hrs along with a standby time of 504 hours.This will be sufficient enough for the general purpose usage for which such phones are intended.
Nokia 301 comes with Dual SIM and supports 3G connectivity for high speed internet (HSDPA modem for up to 7.2MBPS). It comes with a Nokia Xpress Browser which can stream videos from Youtube. Other connectivity features include 3.5 mm AV connector and Bluetooth 3.0
Nokia 301 is a simple phone which brings nothing new to the table but is capable of providing good internet connectivity and good social networking features along with a decent 3.2 mp camera.
