Build Quality, Design and Form Factor

Build quality of this phone is quite good with nice form factor and the quality of plastic used is good, the back cover is removable and has a rubberized matt finish which feels quite good in hands. The form factor is really good, being a 5 inch display we did not find it difficult to hold it with one hand or bulky to hold in hands or carry it around, it weighs around 150 grams which is fairly light.

Display, Memory and Battery Backup

The display is good not very vibrant but quite as it does not cause any strain on your eyes when you are using the phone for longer time, also clarity of the display is good, text appears quite crisp and clear on the screen, you may not notice pixilation on this HD display. The in built memory is 4 GB and around 1.48 GB is available to the user which is quite low but good thing is that you can install apps on the SD card and move apps from the phone memory to SD card but you do not get SD card with in the package. The Battery backup is quite ok around one day with moderate usage, nothing exceptional and if you watch a lot of videos then the backup from battery will be slightly less than one day.

Software, Benchmarks and Gaming

The software UI is almost stock android, we did not notice any customizations, you will get the stock android experience on this phone which is much better than customized UI which is sluggish on most of the android phones these days. The GPU on the device is Power VR SGX 544MP which is quite capable of playing any game you throw at it but the main problem will be the low storage on the phone memory.

Camera Performance

The 12 MP camera at back performs quite good in day light and in low light its average. The front camera is good for video chat if not the best, below are some photo samples.

Sound, Video and Navigation

The sound quality from the loudspeaker is quite good if not the best and full volume is quite ok but not very loud and some times user may accidently block the sound from the loud speaker while holding the device in landscape mode. This device can play both 720p and 1080p videos without any issues and you can also use this phone for GPS navigation with the help of assisted GPS but make sure to enable the same under location access settings and GPs satellites settings.

Iocean X7 Full In Depth Review + Unboxing [Video]

Conclusion and Price

Iocean X7 is really worth at the price at which it comes, we reviewed the youth edition with 4Gb internal memory which is the only downside for this phone but at this price point you can get this amount of in built memory only. The phone has quite good form factor and light in weight which makes it easy to carry and its quite slim as well less than 1 cm and it comes for a price of Rs. 11,500 + 500 shipping charges.
