ZTE Launched 6 Android Phones within Price Range of Rs. 5,799 to Rs. 14,999

ZTE Corporation today kicked start its operations in India with the Launch of 6 new smartphones along with 4 3G data cards. The pricing of these phones has been kept Quite Competitive. These phones are Grand X Quad Lite(14,999 INR), ZTE Blade L (12,599 INR), ZTE Blade E(11,999 INR), ZTE Blade G2(11,599 INR), ZTE Blade C(7,599 INR), and ZTE Kis Flex(5,599).

Grand X Quad Lite, the Flagship phone among Smartphones launched in India comes with a quad core processor clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and backed by a 1 GB RAM. This is Standard chipset specification in this price range from new players trying to capture a chunk of market share. The internal storage of this device is 4 GB which is extendable to 32 GB. This phone features latest Android 4.2 Jelly bean O.S. and sports a 5 Inch qHD display with 540 x960 pixel resolution. It has a 5 MP primary camera (720p video recording) and a 0.3 MP front camera for video calling. At a price of 14,999 INR, this phone will face head-on competition with phones like XOLO Q1000 and Gionee Elife E3.

ZTE Blade L comes second with a price tag of Rs. 12,599; it comes with Android 4.0 ICS O.S. which is quite old now. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and a RAM capacity of 512 MB. Internal storage is of 4 GB which is further extendable to 32 GB using microSD card. It has a 4.7 inch Display with WVGA resolution. It sports a 5 MP primary autofocus camera and a 0.3 MP secondary camera. Other connectivity features include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-fI and GPS.

ZTE Blade E is priced at Rs. 11,999 and is powered by a Similar 1.2 GHz quad core processor and employs Android 4.1 Jelly bean O.S. Here too the RAM capacity has been decreased to 512 MB to justify the price cut. The IPS display of this device is also slightly smaller at 4.5 inch and supports FWVGA resolution. Internal memory is standard at 4GB and is further expandable to 32 GB with microSD card support. Camera features remain same with 5MP primary camera (with LED flash) and a 0.3 MP front camera for video calling. The specifications are similar to the ZTE Blade L and the only difference is in Display Size (0.2 inch)


Next in the series is ZTE Blade G2 which comes with a 4.5 inch 480 x 854 pixel resolution display. Chipset specifications include 1 GHz Quad core processor with 512 MB RAM and a 4GB internal storage memory. This phone employs Android 4.1 Jelly bean O.S. and has similar camera features as compared to the Flagship phone Grand X Quad Lite (5MP/ 0.3MP). This Phone comes with a price tag of Rs. 11, 599 and will be among the selected few devices with Quad core processor at this price range.

ZTE Blade C is again one step down regarding Display size. It comes with a 4 inch WVGA display. This Android 4.1 Jelly bean device is powered by 1 GHz dual core processor with a RAM capacity of 512 MB. Internal storage is again standard at 4GB. It has a 3 Mp fixed focus Primary camera, enabled with 720p Video Recording, along with a front facing camera of 0.3 MP. Battery capacity is rated at 2000mAh which will be sufficient to drive you through the day. This phone is priced at 7,599 INR

Last in this series is ZTE kis Flex, with a 3.5 Inch QVGA touch screen display. This entry level device runs on Android Ginger bread 2.3 O.S. and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It has 256 MB RAM and 512 MB of internal storage which can be expanded to 32 GB using microSD card. This Dual SIM phone supports 3G on one SIM and offers other connectivity features like WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It has only one 2MP camera and a humble battery capacity of 1200mAh. It has been priced the lowest at Rs. 5,799.

ZTE also launched 4 3G datacards namely Swift with 7.2 Mbps speed and Voice call at 1799 INR, Swift Plus with 14.4 Mbps speed at 1999 INR, Swift Wplus with 14.4 Mbps speed and WiFi at 2250 INR and Swift Speed with 21.6 Mbps speed and Voice call at 2499 INR

Although camera specifications are less compared to what other manufacturers are offering , you will get good value for money at these prices. With India emerging as the Third Largest Smartphone market in the world after USA and China we can expect many new players entering Indian market with competitive pricing to tap a big piece of market share.
