Sony Cyber-Shot RX100 II Launched at Rs. 42,990

Today Sony launched Cyber- Shot RX 100 II, the first ever camera by Sony with NFC technology in India for Rs 42, 990. With this camera Sony has the popular RX 100, world’s first compact fixed-lens camera with a 1.0-type 20.2 effective megapixel sensor, with better image quality and various other new features like Exmor CMOS sensor and Multi Interface Shoe.

The 20.2 MP Exmor CMOS sensor is back illuminated and increases sensitivity while reducing Picture noise in tricky and low light scenes. Combined with F1.8 Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens, it gives you more crisp and natural pictures irrespective of the surrounding conditions.

With the NFC feature in this device, you can connect it with your smartphone easily. You can also trigger the shutter remotely with the help of your smartphone. This camera is further equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity which further increases your photo sharing options.

Other highlighted features like Multi Interface Shoe and Multi terminal help you to attach optional accessories to this camera. These accessories include Electronic View finder, external flash and stereo microphone. The Multi terminal helps you with addition of other options like shutter release remote controller.


The LCD has also been modified to tilt up and down providing you with more flexibility. The detail –packed 3.0 type White magic LCD also supports TRILUMINOUS color output via HDMI, which enhances color reproduction in targeted regions to give you richer and natural colors.

This camera is capable of shooting full HD videos at 24fps. Other changes include expansion of Full HD Video modes. 24p/25p shooting has been added for smoother cinematic movies. A step zoom has also been added which allows you to choose from 5 focal lengths, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, 70mm and 100mm, using control ring. Sony Cyber shot RX100 II is available for purchase from all Sony centers and other major electronic stores for a price of Rs. 42,990.
