Camera and Internal Storage

The camera features have nothing new to offer. This phone comes with an 8 MP primary camera similar to Canvas HD and Canvas 2 Plus. This Flash is not Dual LED flash unlike Canvas 2 plus but that wont make much of a difference. The front camera is a VGA camera which on rare occasions will be used for video calling.

The internal storage is again similar to what we see throughout the range of 5,000 INR to 15,000 INR in most devices. This phone too has internal storage capacity of 4 GB which can be extended to 32 GB using microSD card.

Processor and Battery

The Micromax has been consistent with the processors in all canvas series devices. This phone features Qualcomm snapdragon 200 quad core processor clocked at a frequency of 1.2 GHz Interestingly Micromax has moved on to Qualcomm this time around instead of the low cost MediaTek processors. The RAM capacity of 1 GB will ensure smooth UI transitions and effective multitasking.

The battery capacity of 2000 mAh is expected to give you around 6 to 7 hrs of talk time. With low to moderate usage you can last a work day without charge. The battery capacity is similar to what others are offering at this price range.

Display and features

The display of this device is 4.7 Inch in size. Comfortable enough to hold and large enough to enjoy multimedia on your smartphone! Many users find this a very comfortable form factor. This is where this phone differentiates itself from other 5 Inch canvas phones. The display resolution of 960 x 540 pixels.

This phone comes with Dual SIM dual Standby functionality and comes equipped with Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system.

Looks and Connectivity

The images that surfaced on Snapdeal are not pretty. It’s hard to get a hold of what this phone actually looks like. We can also see the lamination wear off on the right corner. However seeing the back cover of this device, This phone will look more like Canvas 2 Plus.

Connectivity features include 3G, Bluetooth with A2DP, GPRS, EDGE, 3.5 mm audio jack and GPS support.

Comparison

This phone will compete with similar specification phones like XOLO Q800, XOLO Q700 and ZTE Blade L with less than 5 Inch Display. This phone will also face tough competition from other Quad core HD 5 Inch devices in the vicinity like Videocon A55 HD, Lava iris 504Q, Micromax Canvas HD A116, Micromax Canvas 2 plus and many more.
