Lenovo has announced two new devices at IFA yesterday. A smartphone called Lenovo Vibe X and a tablet named s5000. Official press release states that these devices will be available in India by December this year. Lenovo has focused on crafting and body design for both these devices
Lenovo Vibe X has almost similar hardware specification as recently launched Intex Aqua i7 (except for the internal storage). This phone comes with a 5 Inch Full HD display (441 ppi) which is high clarity display.
The processor is MediaTek MT6589T 1.5 GHZ quad core turbo processor. The RAM capacity is 2 GB and the internal storage capacity is 16 GB which will be sufficient for most users. The primary camera is of 13 Mp and the secondary camera for video calling has a 5 MP sensor.
The battery capacity is again 2000 mAh which is quite less considering the FHD display and Quad core processor. So where does these scores over Intex Aqua I 7? Well, it is extremely sleek at 6.9 mm premium polycarbonate body and only weighs 121 grams!
Lenovo S5000 is a budget tablet with a 7 Inch 1280 x 800 pixel resolution. This tablet is also quite sleek at 7.9 mm and weighs 246 grams. This tablet also features a quad core MT8389 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz backed by 1 GB RAM. This will give you smooth UI transition and multitasking for all general purpose applications. Internal storage of 16 GB will be sufficient for most users.
On the software front it comes with Android 4.2 Jelly bean Operating System and is powered by a 3450 mAh battery. This tablet supports 3G and Wifi connectivity.
Both these devices come preloaded with several applications to facilitate data and multimedia files and to enhance security. Both of these devices along with a K900 Orange and black color variant with 16 GB/ 32 GB storage will be available in India in Q4. Intex has already launched a similar specification smartphone Intex Aqua i7 in India and this will play to Lenovo’s disadvantage. With the arrival of XOLO TAB today and New Google Nexus 7 coming soon, in the same expected price range, Tablet market will also be feirce by December this year.
