Facebook Gets Embedded Video Thumbnail Which Starts Playing Silently

Facebook is planning to launch a new feature which will give you a new experience to watch a video over the Facebook application on Android or iOS. As of now if you want to watch any video then you take a look at its thumbnail which is available in the newsfeeds and then tap on it to play that video. Now the thumbnails might be misleading sometimes so you may have ended up watching the wrong video. In order improve the video selection over the newsfeed they have introduced a new feature.

This feature will replace the thumbnail image by a video preview which will starting playing as soon as your screen holds up for more than few seconds over that video. This video preview will not be accompanied by any sound, so once you get a good idea whether you really want to watch this video or not. You can either ignore that video by scrolling to other newsfeeds or you can tap that video preview so that it could open in the same tradition blank screen where it could open the same old way to play the whole video.

Now this may be a spoiler for the user who prefer to use a very less 3G data pack every month because the video will start getting loaded automatically over the application but I hope they might give the users with an option to turn this feature off. We will let you know in detail what this feature can do exactly once it is out as the application update on appstouse. Till then stay tuned.
