Camera and Internal Storage

The camera of a tablet is not as important a specification as in smartphone, because most people are not very comfortable using large sized tablets for clicking pics. Also the manufacturers just don’t seem to care much either. This tablet has a 5 MP primary camera with HawkView support, which implies you can view the low resolution videos on high resolution display without significant degradation in quality. A front camera of 3 MP is also present for Video calling.

The internal storage of this tablet is 8 GB. This should be sufficient space for downloading Apps and you can further extend the storage to 32 GB using MicroSD card. As a special preorder offer, you will get a 16 GB microSD card with this tablet. At this price range internal storage is above average.

Processor and Battery

The processor is 1GHz quad core (cortex A7) processor with PowerVR SGX 544 MP2 GPU. The Cortex A7 part is now a little old and is similar to what we see in MT6589 chipset. Overall the quad core processor coupled with 1 GB of LPDDR3 RAM will be sufficient enough to give you lag free performance for most general purpose applications and moderate gaming.

The battery capacity of 3200 mAh will provide you with a usage time of 3 to 4 hrs, which is strictly average and standby time of 120 hrs. The battery backup is nothing to boast about.

Display and Features

This tablet features a 7 Inch backlit display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution which is quite common as far as budget tablets are concerned. Most budget tablets under 10,000 INR feature the similar resolution and the ones around 5,000 INR feature WVGA resolution. Thus the display of the device is according to the market trend. The 5 point multi touch display also sports finger resistant coating.

On the software front this tab employs Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system which will provide you with good android experience. Domo is also offering goodies like 16 GB microSD card, table stand and sleeve.

Looks and Connectivity

From the available pictures of the device the device scores above average in the looks category. The back panel looks smooth and well carved with a wave pattern design at the bottom and a bulging camera at the top center position.

There is a Slot for SIM card and thus you can use this tablet for calling and it also supports 3G. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack and micro USB port.

Comparison

In this price range this tablet will compete against devices like Simmtronics Xpad Mini, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 210, Mercury mTAB Star and Google Nexus 7 16 GB.
