Karbonn Launched 4 Budget Android Phones from Rs. 5,490 to Rs. 7,490

Karbonn is on a budget Android launching spree and various phones from Karbonn with more or less similar specifications have appeared on online retail stores in India. Karbonn today officially announced 4 smartphones under its “Smart Diwali” Campaign, namely, Karbonn A16, Karbonn A99 Karbonn A35 and Karbonn A99.

Shashin Devsare, Executive Director, Karbonn said “We are looking towards aggressive market penetration and in this festive season where volume sales are greater we seek to augment our market share with this product range. Today the mass phone market is one of the most significant growth drivers of the industry, and it is this market that we are targeting with our new smartphone range.”

Karbonn A16 comes with a 4 Inch WVGA display powered by a 1.3 GHz Dual core processor. As expected a 512 MB RAM is present in this phone and internal storage is 4 GB which can be further extended to 32 GB using MicroSD card. The operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly bean.

The battery capacity is 1350 mAh, however Karbonn has not specified how much usage you can squeeze out of it. You will get free access to music and videos from Hungama My Play App for 1 Month. The primary camera has a 5 MP sensor. Karbonn A16 has been priced at Rs. 6,490

Karbonn A99 has same chipset specifications with 1.3 GHz Dual core processor backed by 512 MB RAM and 4 GB storage. The Camera and display specifications are also same. This phone comes preloaded with Outlook E-mails, Wi-Fi, GPS Navigation, Hungama My Play, Google App Suite, Karbonn Live, Whatsapp and Office Suite. Both of these phones have 3G connectivity and Dual SIM functionality. Karbonn A99 has been priced at Rs. 6,590

Karbonn A35 comes with has a larger 5 Inch IPS display with 960 x 540 qHD resolution, but the processor backing up this display has been reduced to 1 GHz Dual core processor. The RAM capacity and internal storage remains same at 512 MB and 4 GB respectively.

The primary camera is of 5 MP and a 2 MP secondary camera is also present for video calling. The battery capacity has been increased to 1800 mAh to accommodate the increase in display size and resolution. The Operating system is Android 4.0 ICS which is one step down compared to A16 and A99. This Dual SIM phone does not support 3G connectivity. The Karbonn A35 is priced at Rs.7490

Karbonn A90 is the cheapest amongst this lot, priced at Rs.5490. This phone has a 1 GHz Single core processor and 4 Inch WVGA display. The phone runs on Android 4.0 ICS operating system and features 1400 mAh battery. The 3G connectivity is absent in this phone as well. The RAM capacity is 512 MB and the internal storage is also 512 MB. You can extend the storage to 32 GB using MicroSD card.

The price indicated is the MRP of these smartphones. Karbonn A90 is available for Rs. 4,790 and Karbonn A35 is available for 6,990 INR on Flipkart. You can get Karbonn A16 and Karbonn A99 for Rs. 5,990 and Rs. 6,190 on Saholic.
