iBall Slide 3G 8072 Calling Tablet with Dual Core and Dual SIM at Rs. 11,999

iBall Slide 3G 8072 was silently made available on the online retail site Flipkart today priced at Rs 11,999. This calling tablet is an 8 inch version of 9.7 inch iBall Slide 3G 9728 which was launched in July and is available for Rs. 14,458 these days.

This tablet is powered by 1 GHz Dual core processor based on Cortex A9 architecture. RAM capacity is 1 GB and internal storage is only 4 GB out of which 2 GB will be available at the users end. The 9.7 Inch variant came with 16 GB onboard storage and an 8 GB would have been a better match in the trimmed down version.

The 8 inch display will sport 1024 x 768 pixel resolution similar to iBall Slide 3G 9728 which will leads to improved pixel density of 160 pixels per inches. The operating system remains same with Android 4.1 jelly bean.

The primary camera has been trimmed down to 2 MP from 5 MP something we appreciated in the larger variant. A front facing VGA camera is also present.


The battery capacity is 4000 mAh which is average considering the display size. This tablet comes with dual SIM functionality and connectivity features include 3G, WiFi , Bluetooth, aGPS and USB OTG which will let you connect Pen drives and other peripherals like keyboard and mouse to your tablet.

This tablet will compete with tablets like Xolo Tab, Simmtronics XPAD Mini, Simmtronics XPAD Freedom and Lava Ivory Tab. This festival season Nexus 7 will mark a huge dent shinning above all with its new price cut. If you are connected to WiFi for most of your day than Nexus 7 WiFi will offer serious value for money at Rs. 8,999. Nexus 7 3G with 32 GB storage is available for 16,000 INR.
